Red was bored with paperwork and decided to walk through the gym to do a
little inspection. An hour and a half of this was about all he could
handle. He walked upstairs and wandered through the machine floor saying
hello to the members and shaking hands when he could. He made notes on a
clipboard on anything he thought need attention. Richard saw him walking
around with the clipboard and quipped to Dell.
"The white gloves are out."
He worked his way down through the gym, through the free weight area and
out to the pool site. The construction crew was really moving along and it
would only be a matter of days before they began filling the pool and
prepping to open the room. Sonny came walking in from the outside and
stopped when he saw Red. Red waved cordially and walked over.
"This is awesome, we'll be opening this in no time. Your guys did a great
job." Sonny smiled but still looked apprehensive. "I'm OK Sonny. Vic has
been keeping me informed on everything and the other guys have pretty much
come clean. Sorry I treated you so poorly. I apologize." Sonny's eyes
opened wide.
"You're apologizing to me? Red, I'm the one who has to apologize." Red
held up his hand.
"You did and I barked at you, sorry. Can we go back to building a
friendship?" Red thought the huge man was about to cry.
"Oh man, yeah. You don't know how I have wanted to hear you say that, it
means a lot. Thank you."
